Vintner's Hall

The site of the Hall was vested in the Company by the will of Guy Shuldham in 1446. The Hall itself was burnt down in the Great Fire of London. Rebuilding began almost immediately and the Court held its first meeting in the new building in 1671. In 1822 Upper Thames Street was widened. The Hall lost some of its rooms, and was given a new facade and entrance gates. The present facade and entrance date from 1910.
The Vintners' Company is an exclusive venue providing exceptionally high standards within an interesting and historically important building. There are four function rooms available for hire for events which can range from a theatre style presentation to a dinner.
The Hall
The Vintners' banqueting hall is one of the finest livery halls in the City of London. It contains many fine treasures and can be used for various types of events, from lectures to cocktail parties.
The Drawing Room
Located on the first floor, the drawing room houses many of the Company's treasures. It provides fascinating and pleasant surroundings for either business or social gatherings.
The Swan Room
The Swan Room is one of the more intimate rooms available for hire in Vintners' Hall. The Swan Banner hangs at one end and three fabulous trompe l'oeil run the length of the room. It provides the ideal environment for activities such as wine tasting.
The Gassiot Room
Similar to the Swan Room, the Gassiot Room is a recently re-furbished room that is one of the smaller rooms available to hire in Vintners' Hall.
