Vintners’ Hall has origins steeped in the history of the City of London and the import regulation and sale of wine. To this day the Company continues to maintain strong links with the UK Wine Trade, with Vintners’ Hall known as the Trade’s “spiritual home”.
The historical venue is owned by the Worshipful Company of Vintners, one of the Great 12 City Livery companies. The large Livery Hall, with its high ceilings and grand chandeliers, has intricately carved wood panelling and gilt cornices. A magnificent 17th century mahogany staircase leads up from the lobby with an open fire to an internal conservatory and the Drawing Room. Whilst still an imposing venue Vintners’ Hall retains a cosy feel of that of a country house.
