Over the centuries the river has brought life to the capital: hustling boats, teeming wharves, trade and commerce at every turn. Reminders of days gone by are still to be seen along the riverbanks. The classic architecture of Greenwich contrasts with the modern style of Canary Wharf.
Enjoy a Christmas Party on The Golden Salamander, which can fairly lay claim to being the finest and most stylish cruising riverboat of her capacity on the Thames. On the top deck, there is a spacious covered upper area for drinks or dancing and a large outside observation deck that can take up to 50 guests enjoying fine views of the Thames sights. The large glass windows on all levels provide guests with a clear picture of the ever changing Thames panorama – dramatic floodlit scenes at night, picturesque and historic places of interest during the day.
She operates 365 days of the year. There are outside areas on all levels of the boat, but with the reassurance of ample cover inside should a shower occur. Pick up points abound – there are 29 separate Piers between the Thames Barrier and Putney.
