How often have you gone to a city, only to find yourself wandering around for hours without any idea on where you are going? You forgot to buy a guidebook, and didn’t fancy going on an organised tour because that is not really your thing. This is where we come in!

We provide Treasure Hunts for groups who want a half day activity that is fun, exciting and as competitive as you want it to be. These Treasure Hunts are conveniently based within city centres and are a far cry from your traditional treasure hunt. No actors. No trails. And definitely no Easter Eggs.

No more Grown-ups!

Over the last 4 years, over 10,000 people have enjoyed one of these Treasure Hunts, and we continue to run more and more events every year. Previously, we have always had a grown-up present (that’s us) to manage the Treasure Hunt and to do the scoring so that you don’t squabble over who cracked the code in the quickest time!

However, we have managed to find some clever technology (drum roll please) which replaces the grown-up and allows you get just as much out of the hunt but without any supervision.

Using text messaging technology, you send your answer to The Goosefather (the clever machine man) who tells you whether you have got the code correct and your final time. That way, you can prove to your mates that you got the code right in the quickest time! So simple it’s brilliant!

The Treasure Hunt Takeaway

It’s amazing how we walk around with our eyes closed sometimes without appreciating the great things which make up our fabulous cities. Too busy looking for that pesky cash point than absorbing the history that surrounds us.

You have to crack about 30 clues which will take you around all of the best bits in Manchester on a quest to crack a 6-digit code. The clues are based around buildings, plaques, local landmarks and other quirky things which can all be found with a little digging!

All the clues are set up for you so you don’t have to worry about sticking bits of paper under park benches – we’re not into that sort of thing, and I doubt that you are either otherwise you wouldn’t be thinking about using us to help you!

Teams

We recommend a team size of three to five participants.

Delivered to your Door

Like all great Takeaways, we’ll deliver yours to your door (about two weeks prior to your event). It’ll come in a lovely box that will make you look really organised in front of your friends on the day.

Ingredients

Everything that you need will be in the box:

  • Instructions (so that you know what to do)
  • The map (we don’t want you getting lost)
  • The clues (don’t worry, they are not too complicated but will keep you on your toes)
  • The scratch card answer sheet (the flash bit that reveals your code)

All you need is a fully charged mobile for each team and you’re ready to take-it-away!

Optional Extras

You can add photo elements to your event to spice it up a little more – we’ll put some suggestions in your pack to use if you wish. You’ll need to bring your own digital cameras and allocate points which will add another exciting dimension to your event. And you’ll have lots of silly pictures as a memento from your day!

Our Takeaways are really great value and will give you something a little different to enjoy with your friends or family. We believe that all good things come in a variety of sizes so we have the following choices to make your mouth water:

Three Team Pack (suitable for up to 15 people)

The Small Print

We will require a £50.00 inclusive of VAT non-refundable deposit for all bookings made over three months prior to your event date, with the balance due at the three month point. For bookings placed within the three month period, full payment will be required at the time of booking.

Cancellations made over one month prior to the event date will receive a full refund less £50.00 inclusive of VAT.

Cancellations made within one month of the event date will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
