Mini Cooper Treasure Hunts

Treasure Hunts can be operated for a minimum of 12 people with no maximum number. Our Treasure Hunts are offered in a variety of formats and can take place over a morning, afternoon, evening or full day. We remain flexible so that you can concentrate on the most important thing – winning that treasure!

Self Drive Format

Combine the excitement and intrigue of a walking treasure hunt, with the freedom of using your own vehicle for this self-drive treasure hunt. You’ll cover an area of about 8 square miles with nothing but a map and a set of clues for company! If you are confident that you can negotiate the winding lanes, quaint villages and homely pubs and want to get out into the great outdoors, then this could be the option for you!

Each team will start and finish from a chosen venue in the local area. This can be a pub, hotel meeting room or your own office depending on which suits your requirements.

Teams are dispatched in their vehicles every minute, and will normally be allocated a set time of 3 hours within which to complete the Treasure Hunt although this can be altered to meet your exact requirements.

Don’t Want to Use Your Own Cars?

Hire in Mini Coopers for the day to add that little extra bit of excitement and fun! Each team will have their own Mini for the duration of the treasure hunt so that they can tear around the country lanes in search of those all important clues!

Hunt Locations

A number of treasure hunts have been devised across the UK. Choose from any of the following locations:

  • Warwickshire
  • Berkshire (East)
  • Herts and Bucks
  • Sussex
  • Berkshire (West)
  • Surrey Hills
  • New Forest
  • The Cotswolds
  • Bath

Teams

Your group will be divided into separate teams. We recommend a team size of 3 – 4 people per car to ensure that everyone stays involved. You can pick these teams beforehand or we can randomly select them on the day.

Crack the Clues

Each team will receive a series of clues which they will need to crack in order to work out the password and combination code. These clues will be spread throughout a designated area and will be incorporated within monuments, pubs, famous landmarks, or telephone boxes. The teams will need to crack all the clues to stand a chance of winning the treasure!

Team Challenges

Armed with your digital camera, each team will also need to carry out a series of amusing team challenges to earn Bonus Time. This Bonus Time is subtracted from your team’s finishing time and as it is the quickest team that will have the first opportunity to crack the code, every second is crucial in the race for victory!

Fancy another laugh? A CD of your pictures is sent to you after the event as a lasting and entertaining memento of your day.

Typical Self Drive Treasure Hunt Itinerary (Full Day)

09:30 Teams to meet at the venue – we often use a local pub, cafe or meeting room.
10:00 Introductions and briefings take place
10:15 Treasure Hunt commences
12:30 Meet for lunch. Buffet lunch or similar on arrival
13:30 Treasure Hunt recommences
15:00 Treasure Hunt finishes.
Teams to return to the pub for scoring and prize-giving
16:00 Finish

N.B. The Treasure Hunt can be started later or earlier if required, and can be made longer or shorter

The Package Includes

  • Pre-hunt event management
  • A reserved area in a local pub or other suitable venue for your use pre and post Treasure Hunt.
  • Treasure Hunt pack for each team.
  • Prizes for the winning team (for bookings over 12 the winning team will receive £25 worth of Amazon vouchers per person, or £10 per person for bookings of 12). These prizes can be altered if required.
  • Post-hunt CD with your entire set of photo’s from the day
  • Staff for the duration of your event (based on approximately 1 per 25 participants)
  • Digital camera to use during the hunt
  • Clipboard and pens
  • Maps
  • Maglite torches
  • Question and answer sheets

The Package does not Include:

  • Transport & Fuel – you will need to provide your own vehicles with a full tank!
  • Car Insurance – drivers must possess a valid driver’s license and insurance.
