Going Going Gone

Going Going Gone

Have you ever wanted to take part in a Murder Mystery Evening, where you are part of the investigation and you may even be the Murderer? Well, now you can…....

A Murder Mystery Evening runs for just over three and a half hours and usually takes place over a three course dinner. This particular story line is designed for groups of more than 24 guests.

We ask you to complete a character sheet as we get 12 of your colleagues to play a small part alongside the five actors. Their parts only last a few minutes but we ask them to play daft characters which we find adds to the fun of the evening. These twelve people will be sent a Confidential Information File prior to the evening explaining what they have to do and containing any props or clues they may have to reveal. There are also another 11 names on the character sheet. These people do not have to do or say anything but these names are interwoven into the plot and documentation on the tables.

The evening starts over pre-dinner drinks, which lasts about 45 minutes. During this the actors mingle with your guests and act out more formal scenes.

The current plot we are running is based around Lady Estelle Diamonde, who has fallen upon hard times. She has to auction her family heirlooms to make ends meet and you are attending this auction. Indeed, you will be taking part in the auction and bidding for the lots. The auction concludes with a crime being committed and everybody sits down for dinner. We never do anything whilst people are eating, giving you a chance to chat and have a drink. The Inspector starts his interviews after the first course and this is followed by the main course. After this the Inspector continues his investigations. Over pudding and coffees, the tables decide who the murderer is and then present their solutions.

The final scene is then acted out and the murderer revealed. Is it an actor or is it one of the guests – you’ll have to wait and see!!

The prize* is awarded to the winning table and the evening ends.
