El Dorado
El Dorado is one of our most popular conference breakout activities for medium and larger sized groups. It is a fantastic activity that can be run for teams looking for a fun and upbeat game or for a more formally facilitated event to demonstrate the importance of co-operation, working as one big team, setting clear objectives and communicating with others. Plus, it’s a lot of fun!
The game kicks off with a short briefing and introduction before each team is issued with their El Dorado folder. The aim is to locate the fabled treasure of El Dorado in the allocated time and the team pack includes a map, clues and a number of problems that must be solved in order to achieve the task.
To be a success and gain the treasure, the teams must work out its location and identify the correct key which will open the El Dorado treasure chest!
If the teams are to succeed, they will need to plan their time carefully and communicate with one another… but before they can leave their table to talk to other teams they must all firstly make a hat and a team flag!
The game can be used as a stand alone breakout activity or be incorporated into a wider conference programme to suit your team’s needs.
